Nash Papyrus Recreation on real papyrus from Egypt in a black 5 by 7 inch frame. Prior to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Nash Papyrus was the oldest Hebrew text in existence. It contains the Decalogue or Ten Commandments as well as the Shema Yisrael Prayer. It is dated to the second century BC. It was found in Egypt in 1902. The Tetragrammaton YHWH (God's name) is visible twice on the last line.
