Dagon: Fish God of the Philistines Recreation
Dagon: Fish God of the Philistines Recreation (resin cast). About 3 7/8 inches wide by 3 3/8 inches tall. When the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant, they put it in the Temple of Dagon. The next morning they found Dagon fallen over. They set Dagon back up, but the next morning he was fallen over with his head broken off (I Samuel 5). This recreation gives you a good view of what Dagon looked like. He was thought to be half man-half fish.
