Ancient Synagogue Model

Ancient Synagogue Model
This is a model of what a typical synagogue would look like at the time of Jesus. It is partly based on the 1st century synagogue that was excavated at Magdala by the Sea of Galilee where Mary Magdalene was from. Jesus most likely attended this synagogue. The people would sit on the floor. There was a stone table for the reading of the Torah. There was a special stone chair placed next to the wall facing Jerusalem for prominent members, or important guests. This is a resin cast model which is about 10.75 inches long by 9.75 inches wide by 10 inches tall. It comes with 4 scale model men, a Torah stand, and a chair. The top and the front side is removable so you can see inside the synagogue. This is a great teaching model.
