Pilgrim Ampullae Replica (pewter cast about 2 1/2 inches long by 1 inch wide. It is scallop shell shaped and usually contained holy water or oil in it. About the 13th century AD. It was a Pilgrim badge which signified that the pilgrim had completed his journey. It was probably worn around the neck on a chain.
