Shema Servant of Jeroboam seal & seal Impression Recreation, resin cast about 1.5 by 1 inch. This is one of the most famous Hebrew seals discovered in 1904 at Megiddo. The seal is made of Jasper and originally was mounted on a ring. Jeroboam II was king of Israel during the eighth century BC. Pictured is a roaring lion. The word “servant” here means that Shema was a high ranking official for the king. See II Kings 14:23-25.
