Nag Hammadi Codex Recreation.
A recreation in the style of a Nag Hammadi Codex. The example below contains texts based loosely on the Gospel of Thomas. All 20 pages/10 leaves contain text including an old papyrus text used as part of the bindings. Each of our replicas is hand made and each will vary slightly in style. The inside covers have been intentionally left partially exposed to show the old manuscripts used to stiffen the covers and the individual pages are "aged" with holes and tears to simulate an ancient codex.
This item is designed as an educational tool to demonstrate how an early Christian codex such as Paul's Letters or even maybe the Gospels may have looked. Picture shows two recreations, the inside and outside view.
